Grace Leasure of Butler celebrated her 85th birthday with a surprise family dinner March 22 at the Butler YWCA.

The former Grace Parrish was born March 17, 1923, in Edinburg. She married Paul Leasure Sr. on Jan. 15, 1942. He is deceased.

She has five children, Paul Leasure Jr., Kathy Haunty and Larry Leasure, all of Butler; Joanne Sullivan of Columbia, S.C.; and Sandy Burke of East Butler. Another son, Gary Leasure, is deceased.

She also has 12 grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Mrs. Leasure is retired from Penn Champ.

A member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, she enjoys bingo and playing cards.
