Dixie and Jim Bowser

Jim and Dixie Bowser of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage in November with a dinner for family and friends at Natili North restaurant in Butler. Entertainment was provided by Butler Notables Barbershop Quartet.

The former Dixie Smith married Bowser Nov. 5, 1957.

They have four children, Randy Bowser of Emlenton, Don Timblin of Slippery Rock,

Rhonda Bowser of Chicora and Robin Marlowe of Rimersburg.They also have 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.Bowser is retired from Indspec Chemical in Petrolia. A veteran of the air force, he is an avid bowler.Mrs. Bowser is a homemaker. She enjoys playing cards.The couple belongs to Fairview Methodist Church.
