The Parkers in 1948

Robert and Virginia Parker of Chicora will celebrate 60 years of marriage with a family dinner at Twelve Oaks Mansion in Cranberry Township on May 18.

Parker married the former Virginia Holben on May 14, 1948, at First English Lutheran Church, Butler.

They have six children, Kathleen Michael of Chipewa, Cheryl Edwards of Chicora, Debbie Reep of Stafford, Va., Beverly Waltman of Chicora, David Parker of Chicora and Nancy Parker of Boulder, Colo.

They also have 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Parker is retired from Parker's Appliance Store. Mrs. Parker is a homemaker.

The couple are members of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Chicora.
