Higgins 50th anniversary
Kenneth and Sylvia Higgins of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner at the Villa Penna Ristorante in Clinton Township, Mich., hosted by their son and daughter-in-law. They will also celebrate with a Hawaiian cruise in November, hosted by their son.
Higgins married the former Sylvia Krulatz on May 31, 1958, at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler. The Rev. A.J. Weisenberger officiated.
They have one son, Jeff Higgins of Clinton Township, Mich.
Higgins is retired from working as general manager of Allegheny Axle. He also worked as general foreman for Pullman Standard until it closed.
Mrs. Higgins is retired from working as the secretary of Butler Catholic School.Prior to working at the school, she worked in the sales department of Magnetics in East Butler.
