The Odds are <i>NOT</i> in Your Favor - Gambling

Gambling problems affect men and women of all ethnic groups, religious faiths and economic levels.

The younger a person is when he starts to gamble, the more likely he is to develop a problem.

Many teens get in serious legal, financial and academic trouble because of GAMBLING.

Gambling refers to games of chance and skill that involve a financial risk. For a person with gambling problems, gambling is not a form of recreation, but it is the center of the person’s life.

Gambling addiction is a serious problem that has damaging effects. It can destroy the gambler’s relationships, career, finances and self-esteem. The toll gambling addiction impact on a gambler’s loved ones can be enormous.

Society also pays for gambling problems in the form of court costs, higher cost for social services, losses from theft, lost worker productivity and bankruptcy.

Gambling addiction is similar to drug and alcohol addiction. In most cases, the addict can’t recover without outside help.
