Catherine "Kitty" Albaugh of Saxonburg celebrated her 90th birthday with family and friends at a surprise birthday party at the home of her granddaughter.

The former Catherine Remaley was born Aug. 17, 1914, in Acmetonia. She married Lyle Albaugh on June 19, 1931, in Wheeling, W.Va. He is deceased.

She is the mother of Katherine Rowe and Joan Salander, both of Saxonburg; Lyle Albaugh of Provo, Utah; and Audrey Scott of Henderson, Nev. She also has 18 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Albaugh is a homemaker. During World War II she was a riveter at Pullman Standard. She is a member of the 7376 V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Saxonburg, the Good Sam Club, the Winnebago Traveling Club and the 365 Motor Club in Yuma, Ariz.
