6:34 p.m. Tuesday - An unsatisfied customer was cited for disorderly conduct after allegedly throwing a hoagie at an employee at the Subway store on West Cunningham Street.Police said Barbara Stewart, 47, of 113 W. Quarry St., Butler, was apparently upset with one of several submarine sandwiches her daughter earlier bought at the store. Stewart said the alleged sub-par sub "fell apart when she opened it up" to eat at her home, according to a police report.Stewart, hoagie in hand, returned to the store to complain. An employee said Stewart was yelling and swearing before she hurled the hoagie over the counter. The employee said the bag containing the sub hit her - a claim Stewart denied.Other customers inside told police Stewart "was being disorderly and causing a problem," the report said.Police reviewed a videotape taken by the store's surveillance camera that showed Stewart yelling and throwing the bag overt the counter; however, it was "inconclusive as to whether or not the bag actually hit the employee," the police report said.
2:35 p.m. Tuesday - A car driven by Travis Smith, 20, of Pulaski, Lawrence County, struck a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township. Smith was cited for careless driving.2 p.m. Tuesday - A 17-year-old Clay Township boy, whom police did not identify, allegedly broke into a Sutton Lane home in Clay Township. The homeowner returned home and found the teen inside her house. The boy is charged with burglary in juvenile court.12:15 a.m. Tuesday - Ricardo Stuvaints, 20, of McKeesport, Allegheny County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car struck a motorcycle at Route 173 and Keister Road in Slippery Rock Township.Police said Stuvaints drove off as the motorcycle, driven by Craig Ruscitto, 21, of Slippery Rock, fell onto its side. Ruscitto, who was wearing a helmet, suffered moderate injuries. The hospital where Ruscitto was taken was not immediately known.Stuvaints returned to the scene and was arrested for DUI, police said.Monday - Wade Powell, no address given, reported someone took $79 in currency and clothing from his vehicle at Sandy Point Road in Allegheny Township. The theft occurred between 7 p.m. Sunday and 2 p.m. Tuesday.Saturday - A 2001 Honda motor bike and a 2000 Yamaha all-terrain vehicle were taken from a garage in a burglary at the Bearcreek Road home of Curtis Chritzman in Prospect. The burglary occurred between 8:30 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday.Friday - About $840 in building supplies were taken between Aug. 7 and Friday from a home construction site on Stein Road in Oakland Township. Brian and Kimberly Collier of Renfrew own the stolen property.Sept. 1 - An unidentified green van occupied by two unknown suspects drove into and smashed four mailboxes on Lardintown Road in Clinton Township.
Aug. 20 - Tina Roher of Volant reported someone stole $1,200 in jewelry she owns while at the Prime Outlets food court in Springfield Township, Mercer County. The theft occurred between 8 p.m. Aug. 19 and noon Aug. 20. No other information was available.
