Watson 55th anniversary
Wendell and Mary Watson of Slippery Rock celebrated 55 years of marriage with a dinner Oct. 18 at the Black Forest Restaurant in Parker.
Watson married the former Mary Grossman on Oct. 17, 1953, in Slippery Rock.
They have two children, Deborah Neyman of Volant and Patricia Pink of Slippery Rock.
They also have two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Watson is retired from Armco Steel. He belongs to the Slippery Rock Sportsman's Club and the Deer Hunter's Club of Harrisville. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys birdwatching. He records information from his Purple Martin hatchery for the Audubon Society.Mrs. Watson is retired as the manager for the Slippery Rock High School cafeteria. She belongs to the Slippery Rock Sportsman's Club and the Deer Hunter's Club of Harrisville. She is a former member of the TNTWomen's Bowling League of Slippery Rock and enjoys camping, family and friends.The Watsons are members of the Plain Grove Presbyterian South Church.
