The Friterses in 1948

Ralph and Mildred Friters of Karns City celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family dinner Aug. 24 at the Monroe Hotel.

Friters married the former Mildred Vensel on Aug. 21, 1948, in Butler.

They have three children, Patrick Friters, Linda Volario and James Friters, all of Karns City. A daughter Candy Friters is deceased.

They also have four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Friters is retired from Witco, which is now Sonneborn.

Mrs. Friters is a homemaker.

The couple are members of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Chicora.
