Dorothy and Dick Day

Dick and Dorothy Day of East Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage.

Day married the former Dorothy Stewart on Oct. 20, 1948. The Rev. John McElroy of East Butler Presbyterian Church officiated.

They have three children, Jean Lumley of Butler, Patty Nagy of East Butler and Nancy Neff of Butler.

They also have seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Day is retired from Penn Champ. He spent three years in the U.S. Army during World War II and served in the South Pacific. He is the mayor of East Butler.

Mrs. Day is retired from American Hardware.
