Ruth and Thomas Sarver Sr.

Thomas and Ruth Sarver Sr. of Rochester will celebrate 65 years of marriage from 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 21 with an open house at the home of Ruth's sister Marilyn Tynan, 221 W. Fulton St.

Sarver married the former Ruth Graham on Dec. 25, 1943, at the Laredo Air Force Base chapel in Laredo, Texas.

They have three children, Charmiann Kononchuk of Rochester, Thomas Sarver Jr. of Bradenton, Fla., and Timothy Sarver of Rochester.

They also have two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Sarver is retired from Pullman Standard, where he worked as a general foreman of welding. His wife is a homemaker.

The Sarvers are former members of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Prospect.
