Frances and David Schmeider

David and Frances Schmeider of Butler will celebrate 60 years of marriage with a family picnic Aug. 8.

Schmeider married the former Frances Corbin on May 21, 1949, at First Baptist Church in Worthington.

They have four children, Karen Lepp of Merritt Island, Fla.; Pat Schmeider of Butler; Kim Skyzinski of Cabot and Kathy Ehrhart of Bethlehem.

They also have six grandchildren.

Schmeider is retired from U.S. Steel in Saxonburg. He enjoys gardening.Mrs. Schmeider is retired from the accounting department at VA Butler Healthcare. She enjoys garden club, card club, golfing and the Red Hat Society.The Schmeiders belong to First Baptist Church in Butler.

The Schmeiders in 1949
