Violet Gilliland

Violet Gilliland of Prospect celebrated her 90th birthday Dec. 14 at home with family and friends.

Born Violet Goughler on Dec. 16, 1918, in Butler County, she married the late Burton Roxbury before marrying Roy Gilliland, also deceased.

Mrs. Gilliland has three children, Patricia Enslen of Evans City, Linda Henry of Prospect and James Roxbury of Prospect. She has five stepchildren as well as 26 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She worked for 25 years in the Prospect Post Office. She belongs to the Presbyterian Church of Prospect.
