Alice and Butch Leonberg

Lowry "Butch" and Alice Leonberg will celebrate 50 years of marriage Jan. 24 with family and friends.

Leonberg married the former Alice Keefer on Jan. 23, 1959, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Mars.

They have three children, Jeff Leonberg of Mars, Brian Leonberg of Seymour, Tenn., and LeaAnn Chiarizio of Pittsburgh. They also have three grandchildren.

Leonberg is retired from working as the maintenance supervisor at Penn Mar Plaza in Mars. He belongs to the John E. Mair Masonic Lodge 729.

Mrs. Leonberg is a homemaker and worked as the cook at the Penn Mar Plaza before retiring. She is a past matron of the Mars Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 271.

The Leonbergs belong to the Mars United Presbyterian Church.
