Margaret Lichenstein

Margaret Lichenstein of The Arbors at St. Barnabas in Valencia celebrated her 100th birthday Jan. 16 with a party at The Arbors followed by a family dinner Jan. 24 given by her son and daughter-in-law.

The former Margaret Clarke was born Jan. 23, 1909, in Greer, S.C. She married Cecil Roddey in 1932. He is deceased. She married Morris Lichenstein in 1947 and was married to him until his death in 2007.

She has one son, Jim Roddey of Oakmont. She also has two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Lichenstein was a homemaker and spent many years in Corpus Christi, Texas. She enjoyed deer hunting and attends an exercise class daily.

She is an Episcopalian.
