Rettig 65th anniversary

Norman and Janet "Nan" Rettig

Norman and Janet "Nan" Rettig of Butler celebrated 65 years of marriage recently with a family dinner hosted by their daughters and sons-in-law at Tarantino Restaurant in Kissimmee, Fla.

Rettig married the former Janet Doutt on March 11, 1944, in Elizabeth, N.C.

They have two daughters, Carol Fisher of Orlando, Fla., and Robin McKnight of Kissimmee.

They also have five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Rettig is retired from Armco. He also served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and belongs to the Masons, the Moose Lodge and the Elks Club. His wife is a homemaker.

The Rettigs belong to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, the V.F.W. and the American Legion.
