Moser 100th birthday
Ruth Moser of Butler will celebrate her 100th birthday with an open house hosted by her children from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Lowrie House. The family requests cards only, no gifts. She is the first Lowrie House resident to reach 100.
The former Ruth Clawson was born April 9, 1909, in Warm Hollow, W.Va. She married Homer Moser Sept. 14, 1929. He is deceased.
She has three children, Marlene Cygan of Butler, Karen Fisher of Punta Gorda, Fla., and George Moser of Butler. She also has six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Moser is retired from working for 33 years as an elementary teacher for the Albert Gallatin School District. She belongs to the Smithfield Colonials, PASR-Life, FCASR-Life and the PASR Butler County chapter. She is a member of Smithfield Methodist Church.
