Lauretta Bowers

Lauretta Bowers of Butler celebrated her 100th birthday Feb. 28 with family and friends.

She was born March 2, 1909.

Mrs. Bowers has seven children, Alberta Byers of Chicora, Howard Brown of Edinboro, Lucy Wetzel of Butler, Carl Brown of Staunton, Va., Mary Johns of Worthington, Betty James of Summerfield, Fla., and Sandy Peters of Butler. She also had five children who are deceased.

She has many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She enjoys visiting with family in person and on the phone. She continues to live independently and enjoys playing bingo.
