King 90th birthday
Lois King of Crossville, Tenn., recently celebrated her 90th birthday with a family dinner.

King was born March 2, 1919, in Chicora.
She graduated from Maryville College in 1943 before graduating from the Biblical Seminary in New York City.
After service in Home Missions in Maine, she served for 10 years in the 1950s in Angola, West Africa, where she supervised mission schools for the Congregational Board of Foreign Missions.
After returning home, King spent 30 years as a fourth-grade teacher at Summit Elementary School.
King is active in church and volunteer work and continues to enjoy gardening, quilting and her pets.
