Fry 60th anniversary
Kenneth "Ken" and Janice "Jan" Fry of Butler will celebrate 60 years of marriage with family.
Fry married the former Janice Oesterling on May 6, 1949, at St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church in Butler. The Rev. Gordon Huffman officiated.
They have four children, Marcie Otterson of Enola, Sandra Mailloux of Butler, K. Paul Fry of Butler and Joyce Braun of Pittsburgh.
They also have six grandchildren.
Fry is retired from working for 40 years as an electrician in the IBEW Local 10, now Local 5. He is a former scoutmaster and PARC board member. He also volunteered at Butler Memorial Hospital for 10 years and helps maintain Butler's soccer fields.Mrs. Fry, as a homemaker, is a part-time organist for Glade Run Presbyterian Church. She also volunteered at Butler Memorial Hospital and enjoys writing, music and Christian Education.The Frys have both worked in many leadership rolls for their church.
