Hoover 50th anniversary
James and Barbara Hoover of Butler will celebrate 50 years of marriage with a dinner for family and friends at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Roman Catholic Men's Club in Herman.
Hoover married the former Barbara Hillwig on June 6, 1959, at St. Richard Roman Catholic Church in Rimersburg.
They have two children, Scott Hoover of Hornbeak, Tenn., and Mary Musko of Butler.
They also have six grandchildren.
Hoover is retired from the N.S. Railroad after 43 years. He belongs to the Roman Catholic Men's Club, the Serene Valley Golf Club and the Summit Township Sportsmen's Club.Mrs. Hoover is retired from the Butler Post Office. She belongs to the Serene Valley Golf Club and the American Legion.The Hoovers belong to St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Herman where Mrs. Hoover sings in the choir.
