Lampo 50th anniversary
Paul and Phyllis Lampo of Renfrew celebrated 50 years of marriage with a trip to Venice, Fla., with their family. Their children also will host an anniversary dinner in July for family and friends.
Lampo married the former Phyllis Bogany on Feb. 7, 1959, at All Saints Catholic Church in New Kensington.
They have four children, Jeffrey Lampo of Coraopolis, Deborah Rowe of Pittsburgh, Sandra McKechnie of Red Bank, N.J., and Steven Lampo of Easton.
They also have six grandchildren.
Lampo retired in 1993 from teaching social studies for 32 years in the Karns City School District. He also served as athletic director and golf and basketball coach for the district. He is an avid golfer and enjoys bowling and traveling.
Mrs. Lampo retired in 1996 from teaching health and physical education for 25 years in the Armstrong School District. She served on the Butler County Area Agency on Aging advisory board and volunteers for the agency. She enjoys sewing, crafts, reading and golf.The Lampos belong to St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church. They enjoy spending time with their grandchildren and spending winters in Venice, Fla.
