McDonald 50th anniversary
J. Paul and Joyce McDonald of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with an afternoon gathering with family and friends at their son's home.
McDonald married the former Joyce Deal on June 20, 1959, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Butler. The Rev. John Auer officiated.
They have three children, Bradley McDonald of Butler, Timothy McDonald of Delmont and Jeffrey McDonald of Chicora.
They also have six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
McDonald is retired from Armco's strip shear department and is involved with Butler Area Street Machines.
Mrs. McDonald is a retired realtor from the Ron West Agency and also is retired from the Butler School District food service department.
The couple attends many car cruises and spends winters at Spanish Trails West in Zephyr Hills, Fla.
