Bechtel, Olean
Butler residents Wendy Bechtel and Brent Olean were united in marriage at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 11 at Victory Family Church in Cranberry Township. The Rev. Larry Bettencourt III officiated. A reception followed at the church.
The bride is the daughter of Ott Bechtel and Beverly Bechtel, both of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. John Olean of Butler.
The bride was presented for marriage by her parents.
The honor attendant was Nicole Bechtel of Butler. Bridesmaids included Billie Brink of Butler and Lisa Schmid-Miller of Sewickley. The flower girl was Jessyca Bacote of Butler.
Performing the duties of best man was Nate Cammell of Butler. Ushers included Chuck Brink, Ben Olean, Beau Bechtel and Ja-Quan Henley, all of Butler, and Dave Schaeffer of Cranberry Township. The ring bearer was Quameer Bacote of Butler.
The bride completed her GED in 1987 and is currently completing a bachelor's degree in social work at Slippery Rock University.
The bridegroom graduated in 1985 from Butler High School. He is completing a master's degree in social work at the University of Pittsburgh.
Following a honeymoon trip to Virginia, the couple is making their home in Butler.
