Expo returns to mall
CENTER TWP — Nothing better on a cold winter day than to take in the warmth of the Clearview Mall and the eighth annual Butler County Chamber of Commerce's Health, Wealth, Wellness and More Business Expo Friday and Saturday.
This event is one of the chamber's free public events, as most of its others are for members or business owners only.
“It's a really fun time and we'll have at least 50 vendors this year throughout the mall,” said Stan Kosciuszko, chamber president.
Vendors include expo sponsors Butler Eagle, Butler Armco Employees Credit Union, Butler Health System and Butler family YMCA.
Other representatives expected will be from health groups, social services, financial institutions, educational services and community nonprofit groups.
“Butler Health System will be doing bone and blood pressure screenings, while banks and financial planners can discuss investing and budgeting,” Kosciuszko said.
Nonprofits such as the Ellen O'Brien Gaiser Center, which provides drug and alcohol treatment, and Lifesteps, which offers services for children, adults and seniors, will also discuss their services.
The YMCA plan to demonstrate exercising, and other vendors are planning demonstrations as well.
“Its always a good time,” Kosciuszko. “People really should come and see what is being offered.”
