Tuesday — John Hamed of New Castle told police that someone between 2 and 6:30 a.m. broke into the Harmony Road home he rents with three roommates. Hamed and two of his roommates were asleep during the burglary. Stolen were an Xbox 360, iPod and Kodak digital camera.Tuesday — Constance Foley told police her Vista Drive home in Slippery Rock Township was burglarized between 3 p.m. Monday and 3 p.m. Tuesday.Sunday — Todd Collins of Cranberry Township told police that someone took $200 in assorted tools from a tool box in the bed of his truck parked on Sun Mine Road in Clinton Township. The theft occurred between 7 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday.Monday — Police issued 28 citations and three warnings to speeders and other aggressive drivers during an aerial speed enforcement detail dubbed "Operation Smooth Operator"on Route 422 in Butler Township.The detail, which utilized a state police fixed-wing aircraft, was conducted between 3:30 and 6 p.m. Police noted that one driver was cited for driving his motorcycle 106.5 mph on the highway with a posted 55 mph limit.Monday — Police reported a woman, who they did not identify, is suspected of forging three stolen checks from an East Church Street home in West Sunbury and passing them for $2,800.

5:45 p.m. Tuesday — Cars driven by Louis Risch, 42, and Jessica Collins, 24, both of Grove City, collided on Diamond Road in Pine Township, Mercer County.5:15 p.m. Tuesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Jeanne Cunningham, 59, of Diamond, Ohio, skidded off rain-soaked Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township and hit a guardrail. Cunningham, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for neck and back injuries at Grove City Medical Center.

5:45 p.m. Monday — A boy, who police did not identify, is accused of assaulting Joseph Cornelius, 43, of Grove City during a confrontation at the Department of Public Welfare office in Shenango Township, Lawrence County. Police said the youth punched Cornelius, kneed him in the groin and spit in his face. The boy is charged in juvenile court with aggravated assault.
