The Oakview Ladies Golf League held its 12th annual Breast Cancer tournament at the Oakview Golf Club, raising $16,600. That is its highest contribution for the Women's Imaging Center at Butler Memorial Hospital, surpassing last year's donation by nearly $2,000.

This year's event was chaired by Maureen Weigold and Shirley Vernon.

Proceeds are donated to help update digital mammography equipment at Butler Hospital and its outpatient testing sites.

“The constant dedication and support of this group has helped us create a vision of better health for the women of Butler County,” says Peggy Wright, supervisor of the Women's Imaging Center.

Since the tournament began in 2000, more than $73,000 has been donated to the Women's Imaging Center, and 100 percent of the proceeds go to benefit the center.
