Texter 50th Anniversary
Ken and Wilma Texter of Karns City recently celebrated 50 years of marriage with a second honeymoon in DuBois and a family cookout given by their daughters. They also will travel to Lancaster this summer.
Texter married the former Wilma Serafine on April 25, 1959, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Bradys Bend.
They have two children, Karen Texter of Petrolia and Karla Meals of Butler.
They also have two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Texter is retired from Witco Chemical Company in Petrolia. He enjoys gardening and working with his Kubota tractor. He is also a member of the F.O.P. and the Knights of Columbus.
Mrs. Texter is retired from Chicora Medical Center and enjoys her flower gardens and collecting milk glass pieces.
The Texters are members of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
