The Kellys in 1959

Burdette and Waneeta Kelly of Mercer Township celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner and a trip to Alaska.

Kelly married the former Waneeta Glenn on June 29, 1959, in St. Alphonsus Church in Murrinsville, Pa.

They have three children, Terry Smith of Canton, Ohio, Robin Thompson of Slippery Rock and Kirk Kelly of Center Township.

They also have five grandchildren.

Kelly is retired from General Electric in Grove City.Mrs. Kelly is retired from the food service department at Slippery Rock School District.The Kellys enjoy taking bus trips. They attend St. Peter's Parish in Slippery Rock.
