The Bobens in 1959

Paul and Joan Boben of Slippery Rock celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family picnic.

Boben married the former Joan Hauser on Aug. 8, 1959, at St. Louis Roman Catholic Church in Claytonia.

They have two children, Paul Boben of Columbia, Md., and Ronald Boben of Slippery Rock.

Mr. Boben is retired from Spang-Magnetics. He is a life member of VFW 249, the Butler County Horseshoe League and the Vets Golf League.

Mrs. Boben is retired from the Slippery Rock School District and Spang-Magnetics. She is a life member of the Sunrise Golf League and the Lake Arthur Ladies League.

The Bobens are members of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Slippery Rock.
