Swidzinski 90th birthday
Adam Swidzinski of Meridian celebrated his 90th birthday with a family dinner at the J-Barn Country Inn in Sarver.
Mr. Swidzinski was born Oct. 27, 1919, in Cleveland. He married Ardith "Betty" Kirk Swidzinski on Feb. 14, 1942, in Butler. She is deceased.
He has five children, Mary Elaine Westfall of Bozeman, Mont., James Swidzinski of Butler, Jean Cooper of Butler, Daniel Swidzinski of West Sunbury and Robert Swidzinski of South Bend, Ind.
He also has eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Before he retired from the carpenter shop at Pullman Standard, Mr. Swidzinski was a self-employed cement mason.
He is a member of Tanglewood Senior center and is a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. His hobbies include a nightly card game with his beloved friend Fran Brown, daily exercises, gardening and working on jigsaw puzzles.
Mr. Swidzinski attends Christ Community United Methodist Church in Butler.
