Geimer 100th birthday
Anna Geimer of Lancaster Township will celebrate her 100th birthday with an open house from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Gregory's Roman Catholic Church, Zelienople, followed by a private family dinner.
The former Anna Peiritsch was born Dec. 13, 1909, in Pittsburgh. She married Nicholas Geimer on June 17, 1930, at St. Boniface Church in Pittsburgh. He is deceased.
She has five children, Dorothy Hancock of Trinity, Fla., Anna Lunz of Tionesta, Pa., Rita Razum of Pittsburgh, Claire Dorsch of Harmony and Joan Pavicic of Pittsburgh. Another child, Ruth Frances Geimer, is deceased.
She also has 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
In her youth, Mrs. Geimer worked at Heinz in Pittsburgh.
At 87, she traveled to Europe to visit her parents' birthplace of Austria.
Mrs. Geimer is a member of St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church.
