Bresnehan 60th anniversary
John and Joan Bresnehan of Chicora celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family dinner.
Bresnehan married the former Joan Weiland on Jan. 25, 1959, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Chicora.
They have five children, Gale Bresnehan of Norristown, Dennis Bresnehan of Butler, Richard Bresnehan of Butler, Stephen Bresnehan of Butler and Theresa Bresnehan of Sharon. Another son, John Bresnehan, is deceased.
They also have 11 grandchildren.
Bresnehan is retired from Dumbaugh Electric.
Mrs. Bresnehan is a homemaker.
The Bresnehans are past owners of Bresnehan's ice cream stand in Chicora, which they operated for 30 years.
They enjoy golfing, bowling, cards, traveling and spending time with their family.
The Bresnehans are members of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Chicora, where they are both choir members and serve on various committees.
