The Wises in 1960

Roland and Shirley Wise of Evans City celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner at the Springfield Grille in Mars.

Wise married the former Shirley Hoffman on Feb. 26, 1960, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Evans City.

They have three children, Roland Wise Jr. of Zelienople, Matthew Wise of Richmond, Va., and Susan Wise of Cranberry Township.

They also have two grandchildren.

Wise is retired from the Pennsylvania State Police.

Mrs. Wise is a homemaker.

The Wises are members of St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
