Ralph Purvis

Ralph Purvis of Butler celebrated his 90th birthday with a family dinner at the Iron Bridge Restaurant.

Purvis was born April 25, 1920, in Mt. Chestnut.

He married Elizabeth McDevitt on April 16, 1942, in Biloxi, Miss. She is deceased.

He has three children, Mary Coradi of Chicora, Richard Purvis of Virginia Beach, Va., and Lisa Ceasar of Butler.

He also has eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He is retired from Pullman Standard and truck driving. He attends the VA adult day care program.
