Jennie Rocco

Jennie Rocco of Meridian celebrated her 90th birthday with a gathering of family and friends at the Butler American Legion.

The former Eugenia Rosalie Nadrowski was born June 22, 1920, in Lyndora.

She married Leo Rocco on Aug. 19, 1938, in St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church in Lyndora. He is deceased.

She has four children, Patricia Young of Glen Allen, Va., Lucille "Jeanne" Kummer of Highfield, Leon "Butch" Rocco and Deborah Rocco, both of Meridian. She also has eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Rocco is retired from the former Jack and Jill Cleaners.

She enjoys playing cards and traveling. She has visited five continents.

She is a longtime member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian.
