Willis Schnur

Willis Schnur of Butler celebrated his 80th birthday with a surprise party at the Roman Catholic Men's Club in Herman hosted by his children and grandchildren.

Schnur was born Sept. 12, 1930, in Herman.

He has been married for 58 years to his wife, Kathryn (Babs) Kuciak Schnur.

He has five children, Jim Schnur, Barb Massella, Anna Angert, Rome Schnur and Marlene Thomas, all of Butler.

He also has eight grandchildren and one stepgrandchild.

He owned and operated Schnur's Greenhouse in Herman for more than 50 years.

He is a member of the Roman Catholic Men's Club, American Legion 117, Butler Moose, the VFW, the East Butler Fire Hall and the Herman Fire Hall.

He belongs to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Herman.
