McElravy 90th birthday
Raymond “Buck” McElravy of Karns City will celebrate his 90th birthday with a surprise party from 2 to 5 p.m. Dec. 26 at Zion Church of Petroleum Valley at the junction of Route 268 and Fairmont Road in Karns City.
McElravy was born Jan. 7, 1920, in Karns City.
He was married to the former Dorothy Reddinger.
He has three children, Larry McElravy, Linda Roudebush and Marshall McElravy, all of Karns City. Another child, Marsha Kaye Ekas, is deceased.
He also has 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
In his early years, he worked as a coal miner. He also worked for Tesone Trucking and Pullman Standard. McElravy retired in 1975 from Koppers in Petrolia.
He is the only remaining member of his generation of the children of John and Mary Morgan McElravy.
