The Charleses in 1951

James and Geraldine Charles of Mars will celebrate 60 years of marriage.

Charles married the former Geraldine Collins on June 6, 1951, at Franklin Baptist Church in a ceremony officiated by the Rev. Paul Tarcy.

They have four children, Deborah Dukes of Mars, James Charles Jr. of Bethel Park, Becky Kincaid of Ellwood City and Patricia Berk of Zelienople.

Another child, Pamela Charles, is deceased.

They also have seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.Charles is retired from Petroleum Equipment, where he was a fleet mechanic.Mrs. Charles is retired from Valencia Woods Nursing Home, where she was an activities director.Mr. and Mrs. Charles are members of Old Union Presbyterian Church.
