Robert and Mary Sue Steele of Slippery Rock celebrated 45 years of marriage.

Steele married the former Mary Sue Critchlow on May 6, 1966, at Harrisville United Methodist Church in Harrisville.

They have four children, April Hines of Slippery Rock, James Steele Sr. of New Castle, Donald Steele of Slippery Rock and Jennifer Ireland of Slippery Rock.

They also have 11 grandchildren.

Steele is the retired owner of B.L. Boyer A/C, Heating and Plumbing.

Mrs. Steele is a homemaker.

The Steeles belong to Highland Presbyterian Church.
