Viola Ketterer

Viola Ketterer of Cabot, formerly of Pittsburgh, will celebrate her 100th birthday at a party with family and friends.

The former Viola Roehm was born June 13, 1911. She married Alfred Ketterer on Oct. 28, 1931.

She has two children, Shirley of Calabash, N.C., and Dorothy of Belle Vernon.

She also has seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She has lived at Concordia for nearly 10 years.

In addition to being a housewife, Ketterer worked as a secretary for Ford Motor Co. in Pittsburgh before her retirement. A Lutheran for most of her life, she has always enjoyed crocheting, plastic canvas and reading.
