Walter and Eleanor Boosel

Walter and Eleanor Boosel of Chicora celebrated 60 years of marriage recently with a family dinner at Villa in Ford City.

The former Eleanor Stroup married Boosel on Feb. 26, 1946 at Springdale Lutheran Parsonage.

They have two children, Alice Ball and Linda Steele, both of Chicora.

They also have five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.Boosel retired in 1987 from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.Mrs. Boosel retired from the Moniteau School District in 1989.The couple attends West Sunbury Presbyterian Church.
