6:12 p.m. Friday - Samuel Black II, 57, of Kittanning was arrested for driving under the influence after his car collided with a car driven by Gary Heim, 54, of Summit Township at East Jefferson and Third streets.The collision forced Black's car off the road and into the parking lot at Van's Sporting Goods where it struck a boat and trailer. Heim, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries in the crash.

11 p.m. Saturday - A township man was cited with driving without a motorcycle license and speeding after his motorcycle collided with a car at Freedom Road and Route 19.Police said the crash occurred when John Stockwell, 26, of Cumberland Drive was traveling on Route 19 and attempting a turn onto Freedom Road. He lost control of his motorcycle and struck the front of car driven by Ashley Johnson, 16, of White Pine Lane.8:30 a.m. Thursday - Calvin Horton, 53, of Topeka, Kan., was cited with 23 safety and vehicle citations after failing to stop at a truck safety inspection detail at a rest plaza on Interstate 79 conducted by the state police and PennDOT with the assistance of township police.Cranberry officers impounded Horton's tractor-trailer vehicle, which was carrying 38,000 pounds of meat bound for Butler Refrigerated Meats in Lancaster Township.In addition to the safety violations, Horton was cited with failure to provide a proper commercial driver's license.

Thursday - An employee of True Value Hardware store on Perry Highway reported that someone stole two dozen 20-pound propane tanks from a locked cage in front of the store between 9 p.m. June 9 and 7 a.m. Thursday. The tanks are valued at $1,151. Police said the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the FBI were told of the theft.6:25 p.m. June 7 - Jeremy Flood, 28, of Flood Lane was arrested after several motorists witnessed a domestic assault on a woman in Flood's vehicle. The woman suffered injuries to her head, left ear and face in the assault. She was treated at UPMC Passavant Cranberry. Flood was later arrested at his home.5:18 p.m. June 18 - An employee at Burger King on Perry Highway reported a suspicious $1 bill that later was determined to be counterfeit. Police said there is no way to determine who or when the phony bill was passed.

4:23 a.m. June 12 - David Grube reported a car was stolen from the driveway of his Hazel Street home. The car was found on Market Street with the keys in the ignition and damage to the front end from what police believed was a collision with a guardrail.Saturday - Brandie Schanelmeier reported someone took a compact disc player valued at $75 from a vehicle overnight at her West New Castle Street home.Friday - Melissa Ann Schultz said someone took a compact disc player, amplifier, speakers, $15 and a box of toys from a car at her Terrace Drive home on Thursday or Friday. The value of the stolen goods is estimated at $630.

11:02 p.m. Tuesday - Joan Rankin, no age given, of Mercer was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her car pulled out of a bar parking lot on Route 62 near Charlston Road in Jefferson Township, Mercer County, and struck a marked state police vehicle driven by Cpl. Patrick Whalen of Mercer.Both drivers suffered minor injuries. Police said Whalen was wearing a seat belt and Rankin was not.9 p.m. Monday - A car driven by Jesse Badges Canning, 19, of Emlenton struck a utility pole along Route 38 in Eau Claire.Monday - Two television sets were taken in a burglary between 3 and 11 p.m. at the Peter Rabbit Trailer court home of Brenda Morris in Brady Township.Monday - A 1987 Toyota Supra Coupe with Pennsylvania license plate FPJ-1201 was reported stolen from the Clearview Mall parking lot in Center Township. The theft occurred between 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.The car, owned by Kurt Speicher of Portersville, is blue with a white front end. It is equipped with 17-inch chrome wheels and extensive stereo equipment. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of the vehicle is asked to call the barracks at 724-284-8100.12:01 a.m. Sunday - Timothy Klabnik, 23, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 68 in Oakland Township.

4:15 a.m. June 5 - Nicholas McClearn, 25, of Sandy Lake was arrested for driving under the influence after he was found passed out in his vehicle in the middle of Reeds Furnace Road near Route 62 in Sandy Lake Township, Mercer County.
