Cypher 60th anniversary
Wayne Russell and Evelyn Cypher of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family brunch in Evans City.
Cypher married the former Evelyn Marie Oesterling on June 29, 1951, at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Butler.
They have three children, Robert Cypher of Woodstock, Va., Wesley Cypher of Evans City and Russell Cypher of Marietta, Ga.
They also have 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Cypher is retired from Armco Steel, where he was a mechanical engineer. He is a member of Gideons International. He is a retired board member of the Western Pennsylvania Bible Conference and a retired Elder at St. Luke Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Cypher is a retired elementary school teacher. She is retired from the Butler School District and St. Luke Lutheran School.
The Cyphers belong to St. Luke Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod) in Cabot.
