Jean Schoentag Lewis Fusko

Jean Schoentag Lewis Fusko, 75, of Saxonburg died Sunday at her daughter's residence after a 14-month battle with cancer.

Born Dec. 26, 1928, in Butler, she was the daughter of Frank Sr. and Myrtle Reamer Schoentag.

She was a teacher's aide for the Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV, retiring in 1990.

Surviving are her husband, Charles Fusko Sr., whom she married Dec. 20, 1975; her son, William Lewis of Midwest City, Okla.; and two daughters, Mrs. David (Judy) Fisher of Butler and Mrs. Ronald (Debra) Sasse of Sarver.

She is also survived by four stepsons, Charles Fusko Jr. of Tarentum, Craig Fusko of Lower Burrell, Thomas Fusko of Cabot and Richard Fusko of Sarver; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Matt (Carol) Porter of Saxonburg, Mrs. Andy (Cheryl) Palahnuik of Chicago and Mrs. Larry (Cindy) Weyand of Ohio; three brothers, William Schoentag of France, Frank Schoentag Jr. of Butler and Don Stewart of Butler; and three sisters, Mrs. Victor (Anna Belle) Schoentag Geibel of Butler, Mrs. John (Linda) Pink of Slippery Rock and Linda Bowser of Eau Claire.

Seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter.

FUSKO - Friends of Jean Schoentag Lewis Fusko, who died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Tim Bupp of Grace Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.
