Maxine Korb

H. Maxine Korb of Chicora will celebrate her 90th birthday with a lunch at St. Jude’s Golf Club followed by cake and ice cream at home.

The former H. Maxine Hiles was born Oct. 15, 1921, in East Brady. She married the late R.E. Korb Feb. 6, 1942, in Armstrong County.

She has three sons, Michael Korb of Wapwallopen, Steve Korb of Hitchcock, Texas, and Richard Korb of New York City. She also has three grandchildren.

Mrs. Korb enjoys gardening, reading and collectibles. She is retired from her gift shop, The Korb Krib, which in the 1990s was a treasure chest of antiques, crafts and endless curios.
