Florence Horne

Florence Horne of Butler will celebrate her 90th birthday with an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Butler Elk Lodge.

The former Florence Heaton was born Oct. 28, 1921, in Butler. She married the late George Horne Aug. 14, 1941, in Wellsburg, W.Va.

She has four children, Dr. Thomas Horne of North Augusta, S.C., Barbara Snider, Jane Murphy and William Horne, all of Butler.

She also has 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Horne was a homemaker.

She enjoys reading, crocheting and using her computer.

She is a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.
