Helen and George Deer

George “Jay” and Helen Deer of Richland Township will celebrate 60 years of marriage.

Deer married the former Helen Peffer on Jan. 12, 1952.

They have three children, Dennis Deer of Vermont, Mary Deer of Potter County and Karen Young of Wexford.

They also have four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Deer is retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.

The Deers are members of Bakerstown United Methodist Church.
