Mary and Peter Cherry

Peter and Mary Cherry of Butler celebrated 45 years of marriage with a 12-day cruise to the Caribbean and an anniversary Mass.

Cherry married the former Mary Killmeyer on July 1, 1967, at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

They have three children, Patrick Cherry of Los Angeles, Alicia Cherry of Arlington, Va., and Matthew Cherry of Butler.

Cherry is a retired sales representative from Warner-Lambert and Pfizer.

Mrs. Cherry is a retired elementary teacher from Butler Catholic School.

They are members of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, where Mrs. Cherry is active as a eucharistic minister for homebound parishioners, teaching in the CCD program and a member of St. Paul’s women’s group.
