Clara Thompson

Clara Thompson of Cabot will celebrate her 98th birthday with a family dinner.

The former Clara Jameson was born Aug. 20, 1915, near Petrolia.

Thompson married the late Robert Thompson on June 1, 1938, at the Lutheran Church in Gettysburg.

She has two children, Robert Thompson Jr. of Tucson, Ariz., and Larry Thompson of Delmont. She also has six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Thompson was a school teacher for 29 years. She also worked for the Butler County Board of Public Assistance and the U.S. Public Health Service.

She is a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicora and a member of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees.
